I have worked as a dental nurse for the past 8 years, initially based in Bow, London. I enjoy all aspects of my profession but I have a special interest in cosmetic procedures. It is lovely to see a patient so happy with their new smile.

I am engaged to Bob (a local lad, who I met in Greece) and live in Torquay and have three grown up children and recently acquired a grandson, Camron and grand-daughter Bou.

Outside of work I enjoy DIY and gardening, swimming and keeping fit, reading, socialising and holidays.

I am married to Anita and have managed our previous clinics for several years. I have been involved in the training and provision of the NVQ Level 3 in Oral Healthcare for dental nurses in the area since this time.

Previously I was in Further and Higher education for 30 years, specialising in engineering and computer science. My last position at Somerset College was as Head of Technology.

I originate from Sheffield, and have been an avid supporter of the Blades (someone has to be) since a child. I played professionally myself as a teenager and will be glued to the TV at the start of each season.

My other hobbies include all sports, fine dining and travel. I also am employed as a glorified taxi driver by our two young sons. My older sons have flown the nest and provided me with two lovely grandsons, Sebastian and Isaac.

Lizzie and Anita have worked together in Torbay for some time. Lizzie will be available for periodontal and hygiene treatments and also has an interest in tooth whitening.

Having qualified in 1986 from Birmingham University Dental School, I spent 3 years in the Royal Navy, at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint and as an oral surgery Registrar at the Royal Naval Hospital Plymouth.

I have a special interest in those with a fear of dental procedures and enjoy providing cosmetic treatment to restore a smile. My passion however, is gums (takes all sorts). As many of my patients have heard me say, there is no point spending time and money on your teeth if your gums are not tip top.

I am married to Tony and we have two boys, Jules, who is 13 and studying with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in Edgebaston. Harry, who is 12 years old attends the Torquay boys Grammer School. Harry is hoping to become a dental surgeon like his mum. We have many mutual interests (including the Blades), plus dancing, skiing and cycling
